PART 1- SEPT 16
prep yourself and your support people with the understanding of labour. its signs, stages, phases and progression of labour. gain a better understanding of the basics to help strengthen your relationship with your care provider, and allows for more time in appointments for more personal needs and concerns. having a prior knowledge allows you to better advocate for your needs, and stay calm and in control in every stage of pregnancy, labour and postpartum.
PART 2- SEPT 23
birth bags are great (and I will teach you to pack one someday too), but I promise only a small amount of those thoughtfully chosen and packed items will be put to use in labour. equip yourself and your support people with simple tools and strategies to work with labour.
in this session you and your support person will learn…
to work with, not against your body in labour
hands on techniques that ease the sensation of labour
hands on techniques that offer your body assistance, making for more productive labour
positions to allow for more power and control in labouring + pushing
ways to set a calming, safe environment to allow labour to progress, not stall
siblings welcome if needed.
