Feb 6- infant massage, 5 weeks.
it’s more than massage, trust us.
a class focusing on the importance of bonding and attachment with your little one, all while learning an extensively researched massage technique that will support them through all the aches, pains and tension that come with growing.
infant massage has been practiced for centuries all over the world. This specific technique has been used in many NICU's for almost 50 years as a support for premature and or sick infants. With the research to support it, this technique has been known to support:
- bonding and trust between baby and care provider
- the understanding of your baby's unique languages and cues
- better, longer sleep for your baby
- the ease of baby's gas and colic pain
- the relief of growing pains and muscular tension
- the development of your baby's gastro system, avoiding constipation
- the stimulation of baby's neurological development
- overall health and well-being of your baby
- babies ability to regulate and fall asleep, and sleeping longer
AND SO MUCH MORE.
The technique is easy and only requires 15-20 minutes a day once you practice it, with a world of benefits for you and your baby. I would love to see you there.
adding a short and simple, proven massage technique into your daily routine has proven to greatly benefit babies development and temperament. learn to better bond and connect with your baby and your local village/community in 5 weeks of one hour sessions. IAIM’s technique is best learned when your little one is 12 months old or younger, but feel free to reach out to us to discuss joining with your older kiddo.
classes are lead by me, Courtney Jenkins, a local doula and certified trainer with the International Association of Infant Massage. Access community and peer support while bonding with your little one and finding an excuse to leave the house on those lonely, boring days.
all families who attend my classes will receive handouts to complete massage in their daily lives along with a custom massage oil.
